I booked a 6hr fishing with Captain Frank for my family including me, my wife, my son and my daughter.  Captain Frank and his First Mate Slim couldn’t have been any better.  My wife and kids had never been deep sea fishing and didn’t know exactly what to expect.  They had an absolute blast!  Catching fish was exciting, but I will say the interaction with Captain Frank and Slim made it even that much better.  We caught several Barracuda and Cobia and my daughter even hooked into a large Bull Shark (incredible fight!) They cleaned the fish we kept and suggested we stop by a local restaurant called Aunt Kate’s, where they prepared a few of the filets multiple ways for us…delicious!  We couldn’t have been any happier with the trip and it was truly a memorable experience for my family.  When I come back to St. Augustine, I will book no one other than Captain Frank and Off The Grid Fishing!

Took our family of 5 on the 3/4 Day with Captain Frank and couldn’t have been more pleased. Frank and his first mate, Slim, were great, particularly with our kids. The seas were choppy on the ride out but Frank made it an enjoyable trip. Once we got to the first shipwreck we dropped our lines and started reeling in fish immediately. After an hour and half, we moved to another shipwreck and caught several more.  In all, we caught at least a dozen red snappers, a couple smaller amberjacks, a large amberjack (caught by our 9 year old!) mangrove snapper, vermillion, and a triggerfish. We also reeled in two sandbar sharks. Incredible day. We’ll definitely be back to fish with Captain Frank again!

Perfect half day on the water with Captain Frank and Slim.  We were well taken care of and we ran straight out to very active waters! We had a great haul of large barricuda (a few monsters, one 26 pounder) and a nice pile of blue runners as well.  Non stop action for a short trip was a dream.  A couple highlights…. Have a large shark blow up a fish we were reeling in and Capt Frank gaffing a barricuda off the back of the boat that wasnt even on a line.  Great trip, wouldn’t go with anyone else for a trip if in st Augustine.

The trip was awesome and Captain Frank and Slim were the best! They made the trip fun and we had a great time with them! Myself and my daughters are not fishermen but the Captain and Slim made sure that we were able to bring in every fish on our own, no matter how big, so we all enjoyed the experience! We caught a fish as soon as the first rod was put into the water and it didn’t stop for the entire trip.  We caught over a dozen fish, one was 22lbs that we couldn’t keep but it is in the picture.  I highly recommend this trip!

We had 2-3 ft seas and wind out of the North on the best offshore charter I’ve ever experienced. We caught 8 “endangered”? Red snapper between 7 and 12 lbs, 3 nice blacktips, 4 very large sand sharks that gave my sons all they could handle, and the highlight of the day was my grandson hooking up an amberjack that was gobbled up by a Goliath grouper. It was practically non stop action, and we all had sore muscles by the end of the day. Our captain and mate were extraordinary-experienced deep sea fisherman. The trip clearly exceeded our expectations. I can’t wait to fish again with the “off the grid” fishing team.
