We had a great morning fishing with Captain Greg! He responded quickly to questions, suggested a better day due to rough seas (which we really appreciated), and let us know that getting out a bit earlier may be better that particular day. On the water he put us on the fish, with both kids landing a Snook - one of which had to be thrown back because it was too big - nothing wrong with that! Captain Greg worked hard to keep the kids fishing and giving them pointers to help them be more successful. On the way in one of the kids got a Permit to boot. Captain Greg cleaned the fish and put them on ice for the trip back to Orlando. A great morning the kids will not forget. Thanks Captain Greg! Last tip - in Orlando we took the fish to Fish on Fire, where they prepared them really well for us. Both the Snook and Permit were really good!

Captain Greg was very kind and put us on the fish. We caught 7 different species and learned about each as Greg shared information on them as we fished. He also filleted our catch, sending us home with dinner. Most notably, my dad caught a 30” bluefish, a 34” snook and a 31” black drum (among other fish) in the span of a few hours. We fished in some fairly strong wind and waves but always felt comfortable and were impressed with the ability of the trolling motor to keep us steady in one place while fishing. We’d be happy to book with Captain Greg again!

We went on a charter with Reel Magic in late March, 2024. We caught tripletail, 2 of which we kept to eat, and we also caught bluefish and ladyfish on our 3-hour charter. The captain knew exactly where to find fish and was great in keeping us fishing the entire time. Highly recommended!

My daughters, mother in law, and I had a great time on the water with Captain Greg. He is very knowledgeable of the waters in the Cape Canaveral area and was able to get us on Snook right away. He was very personable and explained things well, which was great because my daughters and I normally fish for largemouth bass. When the snook bite slowed, he took us to areas to catch other species of fish. Normally when I go fishing, I’m on the water for 6-8 hours. This 3 hour trip was the perfect length for my girls, while on vacation. I will definitely book a trip with Captain Greg again.

We started the morning grabbing bait, which I thought was cool for my boys to see that aspect of cast netting.

After that we went to a spot for snook. My 12 year old got to battle a nice one. After a while we moved and went for mangroves. The pin fish and mangroves were biting enough to keep it interesting, and had a nice bag of filets to take home for dinner.

Captain Greg was very professional, was great with my youngest son who, admittedly is not a fan of fishing. Coached him well, to land a few, to include the beauty of a snook.

Great trip. Went too fast. Would have loved a few more hours. Book longer of a trip than you think you want.
