Despite being a little wet and cold out, we had a great morning hooking some salmon, flounder and even a rockfish!  We only took one of our salmon home to enjoy later but between the three of us there was some consistent landing and Captain Dave knew exactly where to go to make sure we kept busy!  Thanks for a great morning!!

Fantastic morning on the water with Captain David!

Booked this a few months out as a retirement gift for my dad and it was well worth it. Communication prior to our trip was top notch. After setting off from Shilshole we were on the fish early on. We almost caught our limit (lost three fish right near the boat which was 100% “user error” on my part), caught some nice keepers, learned a lot about the mooching technique, and had some great conversation with David to boot. A damn near perfect day, and Wind Knot will be the first charter we call for any future trip out on the Sound.

We had so much fun with Captain Dave today on the sound.  He was patient with us despite our mess ups getting lines knotted and rebaiting when we could swear we didn’t even feel the hit that took our bait. We caught our quota of salmon (with assistance) and threw back shark, lingcod, and rockfish that were out of season so we really feel that we got THE fishing experience today!  We were also able to even have extra time on the water.  We would definitely book again and I’d love to check out other fishing seasons. 

Being able to actually FISH instead of just trolling only added to the experience. Can’t recommend enough.
