Captain Cody was polite, on time, and very knowledgeable about the Rockport area. He was strategic in identifying when it was time to move to different spots. We had consistent fish action throughout the venture and enjoyed landing four 6lb+ reds within a 40min window. Don’t overlook the service of his “redfish retrieving labrador” Olie who expresses eagerness and excitement regardless of fish size! Cody’s suggestion to have our fish prepared by the nearby Paradise Key restaurant was a perfect ending to a very fun day.

We took a half day morning trip on August 11th with 3 adults and 3kids, 5 of who are beginners for fishing. We had an amazing time catching a lot of rd fish and black drum. Not only kids but also my friends were so excited to catch the big fish for the first time. Cody took care of us very good (teaching us how to use the rod, putting baits on the hook, throwing into the right spots etc.) and we really enjoyed the conversation with Cody!! Definitely the fun time for all of us!!

Cody was awesome and so was his chocolate lab Olie, who he asked us if it was ok if he joined, he was a great deck hand. Captain Cody was awesome, very engaging, very knowledgable and we caught all fish that could be caught, had plenty of fish (Redfish, Trout and Mango Snapper) for our 13 person family dinner that night along with fresh Ceviche. We will find him again next time we come back. Thank you.

Our family of 6 thoroughly enjoyed our time on Captain Cody’s boat.  We asked for redfish and Cody did not dissapoint.  He knew exactly where to take us and we had his cooler full of red drum, black drum, mangrove snapper, and whiting.  We threw back a 32-inch red and a beautiful stingray.  Sorry about the left arm, Cody!  Shoulda told ya I prayed them fish in. 😄 Awesome fishing trip!

Cody alerted us ahead of time that it was a slow morning and gave us an out in case we didn’t want to spend the money and possibly not catch many fish. We opted to go ahead and do it anyway. We ended up catching 5 nice redfish. He also gave us a little extra time as well. We had fun. Would have liked to explore some new territory but overall we had a great time.
