We travel to Destin a couple times a year and this was the first time taking our younger kids deep sea fishing. Captain Trevor was amazing and so patient with them, he took the time to explain everything we needed to know about fishing in the bay, gulf, and all about the different kinds of fish we caught. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be going on another trip with them when we’re in town again. We highly recommend booking with Dawn Patrol and Captain Trevor!!

Capt. John, (JT), is the best. We went out on a planned a full day of fishing but the weather didn’t hold. Capt. J. offered to end our trip early and pick it up later in the week. First time I’ve ever had such an offer. In the past, a bad day has always been met with an ‘oh well, that’s the way it goes. Not with Capt. J. He’s a total gent. Can’t say enough good things about Dawn Patrol and Capt. John. Highly recommend and will absolutely book again.

My wife and I greatly enjoyed our trip on the Dawn Patrol Too with Captain Trevor! Captain Trevor was excellent,very personable, and very receptive to your goals you are wanting to accomplish. They put us right on the fish, only issue is the dolphins were extremely active and very good at stealing the fish at the last minute before you pulled them into the boat. We caught Bonita and a Red Snapper, and had numerous sightings of Dolphins, a huge school of Tarpon and two Bull sharks, very fun trip and would highly recommend.

JT came recommended by a good bud. Took my girls and son in law for a 6 hour fishing day. One of the girls, Kelsey,  never fished and JT was patient to teach her the ropes. She ended up landing a few king mackerel and the biggest red snapper! We trolled for a couple hours catching several, and then finished the morning with our red snapper limit! Landed at boat dock with more fish than I saw other boats bringing in that day. We socked about six gallon bags of fillets which JT efficiently prepared for us. I highly recommend Dawn Patrol, JT is a great Captain.

My 7 year old son and I went out for a 3 hour trip with Captain John and it was nothing short of amazing.  This was my son’s first time on the ocean and Captain John spent time teaching him (and me) everything we need to know about catching the fish and his knowledge of the waters and the species that were biting were top notch.  My 7 year old lamented that we did not book and entire day!  Next time we are in Destin we will definitely book time with Captain John and Dawn Patrol charters again.  I cannot recommend them enough.
