My son’s and I have been fishing annually for the last 5 years. First time in the Daytona area and selected Captain Mike based on the reviews. His boat and equipment were in excellent working order, he actively engaged in conversations and while we didn’t catch huge numbers of fish I would use him again.

Now if Captain Mike could control the fish bite it would have been a different story! We had a great time and did catch enough Mangrove Snapper for a delicious meal!

Great relaxing inshore fishing trip for me and my 18yo son! Convenient location at the Port Orange bridge and a short ride toward Ponce Inlet on the Halifax river. Overcast and windy, so not the best day for fishing, but Capt. Mike put us on a channel that allowed us to pull in lots of sharks, in addition to snapper, sheepshead, and more. Enjoyed the overall experience. Mike was talkative, informative, and just had a great time with him. Absolutely recommend!

Started the first day of our Florida vacation off with a Monday afternoon fishing excursion, and have to say was very pleased with th experience, as we didn’t know what to expect. Right away we could see that Captain Micheal was top notch guide and a professional with the knowledge of the area and answering all our questions. After a few pointers and words to wisdom, we baited up and cast out at the first spot with in 10 min of loading and had multiple poles in water, and lines getting bites immediately after casting. Captain let us know all the technical details and was just up to us to reel them in one after the other, fish were small at first but fun either way as we it a feel for how it works. After an hour we moved to another area and pulled up tossed the anchor and used some special bait from the first fish we caught and it must have been like candy because these fish that were hitting the line after was immediately and we’re taking the line one after the other and very big, was a fight every time, actually to big we had to switch up gear because we get them almost to the boat and they kept snapping lines, if we were more exp we may have been able to bring them all the way but either way was exciting and fun feeling something so large on the other end of the line. After that we moved to a third spot and caught a few catfish and other types of local fish and had lunch, then finished up at base of the bridge and finished out. Loaded up and caught the fever as we will all be scheduling another adventure next time we come down. From Oklahoma. Captain Michael was very informative, familiar with the area & hot spots for fish! My son caught his biggest flounder to date, as well as a large bluefish, and several mangrove snapper. He was informative about the local wildlife (birds,etc) and was a great conversationalist! After the trip, also professionally filleted the catch!! Felt like we were fishing with a buddy!! 100% recommend!!! Amazing day!

We had an amazing time on the river with Captain Mike! Our family loves fishing & he always made sure we had lots of rods in the water (even though my youngest loved reeling in more than anything). He was patient, attentive, & incredibly knowledgeable! We aimed to catch a variety & he delivered!! We learned a lot about the area & appreciated his answering our numerous questions.
