Wenn es um Fische in Alaska geht gibt es wohl kaum einen Angler, der nicht zuerst an Lachse denkt. Und es gibt einen guten Grund, warum diese Fische für diesen Bundesstaat so ikonisch sind. Von allen pazifischen Lachsen wird der Königslachs am größten und nirgendwo sonst wird er so groß wie hier. Manche Exemplare können sogar über 100 Pfund (45 kg) schwer werden.
Wann und wo können Sie in Alaska Lachse angeln
Die Hauptsaison ist generell zwischen März und September, aber manche Städte haben Zugang zu ganzjährigen Fischgründen. Viele werden außerdem im Spätsommer von wandernden Silber-, Rot-, Keta- und Buckellachsen besucht.
Der Kenai River ist berühmt für seine Lachse. Ein 97 Pfund (fast 44 kg) schweres Exemplar das Königslachses setzte hier 1985 den “Rod and Reel” Weltrekord. Dieser Fluss bringt durchweg die größten Lachse Alaskas hervor und ist außerdem einer der wenigen Flüsse der Welt, wo Sie alle fünf pazifischen Lachsarten finden können. Die meisten Ausflüge am Kenai River starten von Cooper Landing, zwei Autostunden von Anchorage entfernt.
Andere beliebte Orte sind außerdem: Seward, Homer, Talkeetna, Yakutat, Sitka und Ketchikan.

I booked a room in Soldotna before I made fishing plans and spent a little extra time traveling. It wasn't too bad, but it would have been nicer to be right there.

This is surf fishing. We thought it was specific for halibut which is not true. Title of this fishing expedition needs to change. It was a great experience. We caught fish without sea sickness and if you need to go pee there is bathroom :) beautiful scenes to view while fishing. Take your chairs, coolers, relax, enjoy and have good time. My grandsons (10 & 13) recommend and so do we.
