We really deferred to Pete’s expertise on where to go and when. He gave us a call on our first scheduled day and said the seas were going to be rough, and suggested that while he’d be happy to take us out, we might want to reschedule. Glad he did that as the day we went was perfect.

Fellow anglers, you really need to be prepared by wearing a hat, good UV blocking sunglasses, suntan lotion, bug spray, boat shoes, and perhaps a light weight long-sleeved fishing shirt with a hood. If you think anyone in your party might be susceptible to motion sickness then make sure you bring Bonine or Dramamine. Happy fishing.

Be patient and help find the fish!! We looked for weed lines, structure, anything that holds fish. Stay alert because when you find them it gets wild pulling Mahi off a giant school of fish! I have fished here several times but this was my first Rodeo. Gotta have baits in the water to catch them. :-). Go get em.

The summer is busy along with winter season - book your fishing trips out by a couple months as you don’t want to not get on that water! And don’t forget about mini open lobster season in July as it will be very busy!

It is super hot in Key Largo in June. If you're fishing it will be deep sea trolling, otherwise you'll pass out from the sun. Go in an earlier month for reef fishing.

Listen to the recommendations of the captain. They know which fish are active.

We enjoyed inshore fishing. We would definitely recommend it for people with kids. It is much more active than trolling.

Bring something for sea sickness. We used scopolamine patch. Bring slicker suit.

This was a perfect trip for my wife and me I would recommend it for those who would like to experience a bit of the Everglades parkland and catch a variety of fish
