Newer anglers can test their skills on a four-hour adventure, and the calm waters here are a great opportunity for families to introduce little ones to fishing. More experience under your belt? Opt for a longer eight-hour trip, and test out your sight fishing skills as your captain poles you across these waters.
There are charter boats dotted along the entire length of the Mosquito Lagoon, but the most popular departure points are around New Smyrna Beach and the Intracoastal Waterway. The Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, which encompasses most of the lagoon, is also a popular fishing spot. Just make sure you grab and sign a permit first!
