This barrier island lies just a stone’s throw from Pensacola Bay, bordering the Big Lagoon to the north. That means one thing – excellent inshore fishing. Year-round, you can get your fill of exciting action and delicious fish, with Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, Flounder, Sheepshead, Jack Crevalle, Black Drum, and many more prized fish calling these waters home.
From the jetty, you can cast out for Mackerel and Pompano, while you’re also just a few miles from the productive reefs nearshore. These prime fishing grounds are home to Groupers, Cobia, Amberjack, and a whole host of Snappers, including the famed Red Snapper, that will keep even the most professional angler on their toes.
When looking for a Perdido Key fishing charter, there are plenty of options for all kinds of anglers. Inshore, you’ll find trips as short as two hours going up to a full day on the water, with night trips possible, too. Meanwhile, 3/4 day trips are popular nearshore.
