What an amazing float and fish. Great way to see the country that most visitors never get to. The fish we're big and plentiful.

I did a one day float trip for a chance to catch Salmon. Catch for day was one Rainbow Trout and Arctic Char. Salmon had left weeks earlier Shore lunch of Reindeer brats, beer and chips was great. Guide RyN was of great help on boat control, rigging line, and trying to locate fish.

We loved Orion!!! He was a great teacher and very patient with new fly fishermen!! Thank for a great day.

Had a fun day with Cam and Crea! We didn’t catch anything. The river was flooded due to recent rains, but definitely felt the true Alaskan fly fishing experience.

We had a great trip with Fishhound…we were on the tail end of the spawn so there were lots of fish that were expiring along the way. We caught Dolly Varden, whitefish, and rainbow trout. This is an all fly fishing trip so we also relearned and brushed up on fly fishing technique. We had reindeer brats for lunch..very tasty! I would recommend fishound for your float trip. Next time I’m in that are I’ll definitely be booking with them again, but will bump my timeline up so I’m in the peak…

I’m not sure if I can describe what an amazing day we had with Captain James. This was one girlfriends first time fly fishing and I have only been twice myself. He was extremely knowledgeable and patient with both of us. His attitude and personality was second to none and he added to the amazing experience. If you are considering fishing in or near Anchorage I couldn’t recommend this outfit any more. I would rate them as 11 out of 10 stars.

I was able to catch 10+ salmon my first time fly fishing. My guide James was awesome, he was excellent at teaching the techniques of fly fishing. I would highly recommend Fishhound Expeditions LLC. if you are wanting to have a great time and catch some nice fish.

Had a great time on the water fishing. Our fishing guides Cidy and Dan were great.

Despite poor weather conditions, my guide and I set out for the river. James was awesome. The gear provided fit well and kept me dry from the river. He was a great instructor and awesome to hang with for the day. My trip ended up being solo, and we had a great time fishing even if we didn’t do any catching. Thanks for getting me out into the woods and in the river!

We enjoyed a half day of walk and wade fishing with Benjamin… we had a mile hike into the woods on Goose Creek. The day was great.. Benjamin was fantastic.. very knowledgeable, and knows the river! Captain Adam was excellent to deal with when booking. Very quick to respond to any questions! We would highly recommend! Thanks to Benjamin!

Fun was had by all! I’m so thankful we had 2 guides, one who worked with the kids (age 5 and 8) to make it a fun experience for them and keep them safe. Another to teach us the art and science to fly fishing. We had a few fish get away. But it didn’t dampen the experience. I’m looking forward to trying again when the salmon are fully running.

We could not have asked for a better experience! O’Ryan is a great guide and made it such a memorable experience for us. He worked to make sure we caught fish and we definitely did! We would book with FishHound again for sure!

I was a little worried my wife and I wouldn't be able to book a trip in such short notice however we found fishhounds! We made the Short 1hr drive from Anchorage to Willow Creek resort and from the 1st greeting I knew we were going to have a great day. From the owner of the resort, our shuttle service and finally our guide.... everyone was excellent. We will Definitely will be back!

We had great time. Adam is very experienced and knowledgeable about the area. Very patient with those of us just learning to fly fish. The area was beautiful and Adam made sure we were catching fish! 😁 I will recommend this trip and guide service to everyone. Hoping to book ice fishing in the future!

Adam and his crew turned a rainy day into a great outing! Our guide was knowledgeable entertaining, and his skill with the grill for lunch was a bonus! We will return and book them again!
