People gather to celebrate “Crop Over,” the nation’s most important festival. This event celebrates the traditional end of the sugarcane harvest with calypso and soca music, parades, rum, and dancing.

Crop Over Festival shows no sign of stopping, running throughout July in a frenzy of color and dance. Out on the water, Wahoo are still biting hard, and there’s always the chance of a Tuna showing up, too.

Kadooment Day brings Crop Over to an end with an all-out party. Crowds hit the streets wearing colorful costumes covering as little of the body as possible. It's a real celebration of life and not one to miss!

Locals take a well-earned rest after the partying of Crop Over. Barbados fishing charters get no respite, as Wahoo show up in force this time of year. Head out and bag yourself a boatload of Kingfish!

The wettest month of the year's a great time for surfing! The pros certainly think so, with the Independence Pro Surfing Championships and Banks Pro Longboard Classic drawing the sport’s biggest names. 

Between the warm weather and the epic big game fishing, we can’t think of a better place to spend the festive season. The year ends on Old Year’s Night, which like many festivals here, is one huge party!
