We had the best day fishing with Phil! He was a very quick to stay in communication with us prior to our trip and provided information on licenses, parking, what to. wear/bring, etc.  His boat was very clean and comfortable, and he clearly knows the bay very well.  It was the end of the season, but we still caught 3 gorgeous halibut to keep as well as a giant ray and a little shark which were fun to catch.  Phil.  is such a speedy and attentive captain, and he was constantly baiting and tending to our lines and moving the boat to great fishing spots.  He is a good coach too, teaching technique while educating on how different fish approach bait, seasonal patterns, and everything else.  We had a blast catching our fish, but even if we had had a dry spell, we would have felt fortunate to fish outside of Alcatraz or viewing the Golden Gate Bridge and seeing all the seals and birds and other boats and tankers.  We will definitely hit Phil up for another season!

Communication with Phil was great. It was just my wife and I on the Reel Time Charter. We boarded the beautiful Boston Whaler which was equipped with all the latest technology.

Phil was a fantastic guy and very personable. We also got to meet his first mate, a very handsome lab named “Bear.” Phil took us around to several spots where we caught a few sting rays and eventually landed two Halibut keepers outside the Golden Gate Bridge.

We had a very good time and look forward to going out again sometime down the road when Salmon season returns.

Phil got us on the fish and had a good idea of when our bites would come..we got our limits on Halibut and he knew a lot of history about the area we were fishing. The views you get from the boat are the best! His boat is very nice and clean. Everything about our trip was perfect. We will book with him again.

We had a great fishing trip with captain Phil last Thursday! Thanks to Phil’s great knowledge and experience on fishing and with some beginner’s luck, we were able to snatch four gorgeous halibuts in a couple of hours! We had so much fun in the bay 😀 Highly recommend!
