Captain Robert and Brooke were outstanding. They contacted us a week before the trip letting us know that the weather didn’t look good. We stayed in contact and pushed our trip to a beautiful day. Within seconds of dropping our lines, we were pulling up 2 fish for each cast. Ended up with 30 red snapper. Just a great day overall. They worked so hard to get the fish off and re-bait - it was non-stop action. Give them a call and find out for yourself.

Captain Robert and Brooke were wonderful to fish with! This was a first time deep sea trip for 3 of the 4 of us and we came back with a great haul for being so early in the season. They kept us pulling up fish left and right and quickly baiting the line to toss it back in. I would highly recommend Captain Robert and Brooke for a great time and a fun experience. We loved it!

Captain Robert and Brooke were the nicest charters I’ve ever met. Roberts main focus was to put us on some fish, and he definitely did!!! Brooke, is fast and will have those fish off the hook and fresh bait on before the sinker is even out of the water!! If you are looking to fill the boat with fish, then this is the charter you are looking for!! Great people, great fun, and a memory me and boys will share forever.

I booked a last minute fishing trip with Captain Rob & he did not disappoint.  It was my father-in-law’s first time out and he is very inquisitive to try and learn anything and everything new that he experiences.  Captain Rob was very patient, knowledgeable, and informative throughout my FIL’s 1,000 different questions.

We started by catching bait fish with great success- very quickly and early on.  Capt’n Rob then asked if we wanted to catch big fish or try to fill the cooler and we hesitantly answered “both”.  He grinned and said no problem.  We finished bait fishing and headed out to deeper water.  He put us on fish that were in season right away—had the dolphins not hunted down every hooked fish within seconds, we would have limited out in less than an hour on Vermilion Snapper.

Capt’n Rob knew within 1min of reaching his way points on whether the fish were there or not.  In between his preset GPS way points, we would troll and hooked a few good sized Gag Groupers in doing so.  At one of the first stops, we spotted a Cobia near the surface and with Capt’n Rob’s experience and quick action, we had a bait fish in front of the Cobia that he could not resist.  We hooked up and got him in the boat in under 5 min.

He then took us out for “the big fish” as we requested and it did not take long before the heavy tackle was bent over and the adrenaline was pumping.  I hooked up on a 7-8ft Sandbar Shark and fought it for about 10min. With Capt’n Rob’s help and encouragement, we were able to get him to the side the boat for a video before he broke the line and swam off.

In summary,  Capt’n Rob was awesome.  He is strictly business and you might get 10 “grins” and a few smiles out of him but he is laser focused on making sure you are on fish all day.  He kept our tackle ready and our hooks baited.  If he was busy elsewhere on the boat, he did not mind if you wanted to bait your own hook to get back on the fish as soon as possible, which was nice.

My father in law is very opinionated and he had a trip of a lifetime with no complaints - this is a first and it speaks for itself.  His main complaint was “we were so busy catching fish all day that I didn’t have time to eat anything” which is more of a compliment if you ask me!

When we head back to the Destin area, I will for sure be reaching back out to Captain Rob with Have Fun Charters Co.  Catching (60-90) fish is great but the memories and stories while doing so last a lifetime and that alone is priceless.
