The overall experience of the trip was excellent. The price/value is extremely good. If you’ve done comparison, you know the price is super competitive. Going into the trip, I wasn’t expecting luxury, but I was fully expecting good customer service, safety, and the best attempt to catch fish. Daliken, and Captain Pancho, delivered on all those.

The boat was perfectly clean and spacious enough for 2 adults and 2 teens, plus the captain. There are not good place to sit, just a couple of coolers and 2 soft cushions, and the fighting chair good for 2. The rest are just hard narrow benches. We expected all this from reading other reports and looking at pictures, so no problem. We went underway very quickly. Less than 30 minutes into it, we caught our first fish, a skipjack. Then we caught 3 more mahi’s, each had a terrific fight. My 14 year old son was able to reel one in all by himself, which was awesome. Given we booked only a 4 hour afternoon trip, I consider it a pretty good haul.

Back at the docker, they cleaned and fillet the fish. You have the option to get them to flash frozen and delivered to your hotel when you want. The price is per pound. We took the Skipjack and 1/2 mahi to George’s next to the Marina (by their recommendation). They prepared 3 different ways. The charge was on the high side, but delicious nonetheless. You might want to discuss and agree on a cost to prepare first.

All in all, excellent experience. I’ve done fair number of fishing trips, and been on much “nicer” fishing boats. For pure fishing, this was definitely great experience, especially for an afternoon trip. Book without hesitation it fits what you are looking for.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had such a fantastic time on our fishing trip today, and I can’t recommend it enough! My two sons were initially skeptical, but Captain Pancho took us straight to the prime mahi-mahi and wahoo zone, proving himself an expert in the field. His guidance and care ensured that we had a blast and successfully reeled in some impressive fish. We had a fun-filled experience and would definitely do it again. We would use Daliken again!  We had a wonderful trip!  Jamie was easy to work with and was quick to respond to all our messages.  He was really helpful and answered all of our questions.  Captain Ruben was fun and understanding to our daughter’s fear on the boat. We did get a pull within the first hour but then lost the fish.  The next 2 hours were not as exciting but towards the end 2 hammerhead sharks caught our bait and just at the end they snapped the line.  That was pretty thrilling.  Captain Ruben knew how important this trip was to our son that he decided to use lures for the last hour and he went out a little deeper.  We were able to catch 5 skip jack. 

Not all of us fished but we enjoyed the ride and the view. Only those who are planning to reel in the fish need the license. Make sure to bring snacks to munch on while you’re waiting for the fish to bite and a cooler if you plan on bringing your fish back with you. :).
