We were in the area for fall break and my thirteen year old son and his friend, wanted to go out on a short, in-shore trip. Capt JB’s Charters is highly rated and after completing our trip, I understand why. Captain John is a life long resident and navigator of these waters, and wants you to have a good time catching fish.
We did the four hour Bay and Flats charter. The Red fish were not biting, but we ended up with a bunch of Trout and Whiting to take home with us. Captain John filleted our catch and worked great with these two thirteen year old boys.

My dad and I came to Florida for a family vacation. We decided to look up fishing charters and came across Captain JB Charters. He had us catching trout all morning. Felt like every other cast we were bringing in fish. We then got to finish our trip off with Red Drums. We were catching them as well just not big enough to keep. John gave us a lot of interesting facts about the area which was cool to learn about. Overall would definitely recommend this charter and if we ever make our way back to this part of Florida we will definitely book another trip with him. Thank you John for the day of fishing.

We were new to the area and booked a random fishing trip.  We have a 7 year old and 9 year old boy very new to this kind of fishing.  Captain John kept these boys baited and in the water catching trout after trout!  He then noticed the fish had slowed and took us to an island to cool of and collect awesome shells and hermit crabs(even gave us a bag to collect with).  Then, we docked at little st George and toured it for a bit.  He told us about a pond with gators and we saw 4 or 5 babies!  Then, he took us to see a couple dolphins that got within a couple feet of boat and blew up at us!  Then, we followed him back to his house and he cut and cleaned and bagged our fish.  He recommended a restaurant that’ll cook them for us and it was delicious.  All of these charters are NOT the same!  Book this guy and be done with it!  He was great! This was my father in-laws and my first time on a charter fishing trip. I have to say that Capt John was a great guide, very reasonable as well. The day we had planned to go fishing the wind gradually picked up while we were out. He suggested that we set up another day when we could enjoy and catch fish. He didn’t charge us for the time we were out that day. We felt he really wanted us to have a great experience. When we did get out to fish, he took us to several spots to catch fish. Unfortunately that day the fish weren’t moving a whole lot. We did catch some trout and whiting eventually. But he truly took us all over, we had a ball. And he is very knowledgeable when it comes to fishing and the history of that area. I would recommend Capt John for ANY level of fishermen. He even fillet the fish for us. If I ever come back near this area and decide to take another charter fishing tour, I will definitely call Capt JB Charter and ask for Capt John again….

Captain JB is great! He is very knowledgeable of the area, since he grew up here. The boat and equipment are good, and the scenery traveling to the fishing spots is amazing! It was very cold and we didn’t catch very many fish but the trip was worth it. Captain JB even cleaned the fish for us, since we didn’t catch that many. With warmer water, we could have caught so many fish we would have had to throw some back!
