Had a great trip out with my brother and nephews. We caught a ton of fish on quite a few spots - it was fun reeling in fish after fish. We were on the right spots must have caught a few dozen grouper (none keepable, but a good few close to keeping size). Not to mention all the snapper, trigger fish, grunters, lizard fish, and one sizable but out of season gag grouper. In the end we came in with a good haul.  One of my nephews got seasick and Captain Scott was very understanding, was willing to come in early if that’s what we wanted. We all opted to stay out. I will definitely be coming back again!

We were here from Gatlinburg, Tennessee on a family vacation and we truly had the best time fishing that we could have asked for. Captain Scott went so far above and beyond what a normal fishing trip entailed. Our 19 year old has severe shellfish and fish allergies and he baited every hook after sanitizing a fishing rod and made sure that he took off every fish. In fact, as a mom, this spoke volumes! It’s something I asked every captain and some were not too nice about it when messaging them. Scott was great with our 12 year old and we all had a blast. As a boy mom, he even helped me cast my line and tried to bait my hook for me, but let me at my request. When the fish weren’t biting one place, he took somewhere else and then somewhere else. He wanted to make sure he got us a lot of fish.  We caught a shark, trout, snapper and others. We had so much fun and will definitely be back and recommend others. You will have a blast if you go with Captain Scott!!

I booked a trip for my husband and son on She’s Way Out There with Captain Scott.  I can’t recommend him enough to use for a fishing trip.  I booked in advance an offshore trip, however, Captain Scott kept an eye on the weather and let me know well ahead of time that the weather may not be ideal to fish in and we could still do inshore. I would rather have an honest captain who keeps safety in mind before putting extra money in his pocket and no fish.  For my guys being inshore did not matter as long as they could fish and catch some keepers. Scott was on point for the seas and how rough and kept them inshore and put them on the fish!  They caught snook, trout, snapper, and redfish for their trip.  My son who is 21 was ecstatic to catch his first snook ever, so right there the trip was a SUCCESS.  My husband told me Scott was incredible as a captain and extremely personable and a joy to fish with.  He is a local and all he knows is that areas to find fish and make sure his clients are happy.  My husband commented he would rather have a local with his own boat than fish with a company that charters many boats.  The bottom line is Scott made the trip about them to ensure a memorable trip with lots of fish.  We will be back next year for a two-week trip and are already discussing booking way in advance for 2 half days of inshore fishing and 3/4 day of offshore.

He put us on the fish.. he’s a safe boat operator and very good with some of the novice fishermen in the group and the 7 year old in our group.  Can’t say enough good things, won’t go wrong booking with him.
