You want to catch fish and have a great time, look no further! Captain Daniel Medina, owner and operator of Salty Fishing Charters, is dedicated to being the best at catching fish and Having a great time! He runs a variety of trips to suit you, your group, and your budget.

Capt. Dan is a full-time guide who spends 200 to 300 days a year on the water. He knows where the fish are and takes pride in regularly putting clients on their fish of a lifetime. With over 26 years of experience and 3 small kids of his own, Capt. Dan has the patience and knowledge to help get you and your little ones “hooked for life”.

You will be fishing aboard a 33’ World Cat catamaran. They provide an AMAZING ride to and from the fishing grounds due to their unique hull design.  She is also over 10 feet wide, providing an extremely stable platform. It is equipped with modern Garmin and RayMarine electronics and is fully-equipped to Coast Guard requirements. The boat’s T-Top provides tons of space to escape the sun and there is a toilet located in the forward cabin.

The Gulf of Mexico is home to a wide variety of different species of fish. It is most known for great bottom fishing, which can include many different types of Groupers, Snappers, Sharks, Mackerel and more. One of our favorites is the hard pulling amberjack, also known as the reef donkey. They will make your reel drag scream! Pound for pound one of the hardest fighters!  

Salty Fishing Charters provides high-quality rods and reels (mostly Penn and Star), bait, ice, bottled water, fuel, fishing licenses, and a great experience. Just bring polarized glasses, a hat, sunscreen, and whatever food or drinks you’d like for the day.

Don’t forget to pack a cooler in the trunk and some gallon sized Ziplock bags as Capt. Dan will fillet your catch for you after the trip. He is also happy to point you towards local restaurants that can cook your fresh catch or share his favorite recipes for home cooked deliciousness!
