Captain Derek and Mike were great. Very friendly and showed our crew a great time. Even called to see if we wanted to reschedule our trip because conditions were not the best and looked better a couple days out. Said they wanted to give us the best fishing experience. They took us bait fishing first off then out to the big species. Caught a handful, and lost some. Most everything we caught were out of season so we couldn’t keep them but had a great time anyways. Fun guys. Will book again

We had a great time today with Captain Dereck and Captain Mike!  This trip exceeded our expectations!  I have been on several other charters, but never caught the quality of fish like we did today. We were able to start out the day catching our live bait of cigar minnows and squid and fished several spots where everyone in the group caught some very nice fish!  From large trigger fish, very nice gag groupers, red snappers including a giant and sand perch we had a fantastic time!  Both Captains are so knowledgeable, helpful, patient and great teachers in helping everyone young and old in our group to learn the best techniques to be successful.  They are great people and their boat and gear are top notch!  We will definitely book them again on our next trip back!

Capt Derek and Cape Michael at Sparking Water Charters are the BEST Destin / Ft Walton Beach area!  They have a ton of great spots mapped throughout the area, and they will put you on bait and fish with high-quality, well-maintained tackle.  Follow their advice on timing the weather, and you’ll have a premier trip to enjoy the beautiful views and catch fish.  We got a great haul on some of the last Red Snapper before the season closed.  The boat is the perfect set up for chartering in the area, and it ran so smooth in windy conditions that my son fell asleep on the ride back to the dock.  Above all, they were friendly, patient, and welcoming for grandma, wife, and kids to make sure everyone had a good time!  Thanks!!!

For anyone looking for the Charter of your Life…Read this!!! I have fish my entire life all over the country and have been on more Chartered trips than I can even remember and I will say THESE GUYS ARE THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS!! Absolute amazing with the kids and even put up with all of our shenanigans, we had a blast. They put us on fish all day long and even went the extra mile to rig a rod so we had a chance to wrangle in an 11 foot / 1300lb Bull Shark after breaking off to the beast over 5 times. It was a trip of a life time and we are so blessed to have found these guys and after reading this I hope you are too.

Lastly, these guys have a top of the line boat and premium tackle that made it that much better!! Not sure who would ever give anything less than a 5 star rating to these gentlemen (especially on experience 😜) because they are awesome!!! TIGHT LINES!!

My 18 year old son and I scheduled a 5 hour trip fishing to celebrate his birthday and completing his first year of college.  We had a great time.  The boat was very clean, modern, well equipped and comfortable.  The captains did a great job of finding and putting us on fish and helping us run the gear. We caught and landed several fish and had many strikes and near misses, including one strike that snapped the line clean off and will make for an excellent “Fish” story to tell family and colleagues about the “Monster” that got away…

Highly recommend this trip, especially for those making a first venture offshore or those have had a significant amount of time lapse since the last excursion.
