Fishing with a couple friends from Michigan, really spent some time to try to find the right charter.  Captain Stephen is one of the most knowledgeable Captains I’ve been out with (and he used to own restaurants, so you’re not only going to catch fish but he’ll tell you how to cook them).  Super nice guy, worked his butt off to make sure we had a great trip, great communication, etc- not a single negative part of the experience.  We did a PM and his earlier charter was raving about what a great time they had with him before we got on the boat.  Our friends had a blast, we had a blast, simply cannot recommend this Captain enough.

First there was great communication and flexibility with our trip.  We had some weather come up so the captain recommended we move our trip to another date.  The boat was clean and nice, the fishing equipment was nice, and the captain was great. We saw multiple dolphins on our way out which he obliged the girls by circling so they could video them.  He took us out offshore and put us on a variety of fish.  He was very personable, and moved quickly to keep up with the action so we could maximize our fishing time.  The boat ride, fishing and the entire experience was very enjoyable.

We had a great 6 hour charter. We went out 15 miles or so and Captain Steve kept us on the fish all day. We caught so many different kinds of fish I’m sure I’ll forget a few. Mangrove snapper, gag and red grouper, porgy, trigger, Bonita tuna, white grunts, puffer, lane snapper, toadfish, flounder, lizard fish and more. We kept the porgy, snapper and grunts. Gag Groupers were out of season but Red Groupers are in season but they had to be 20 inches and we didn’t catch any that long. We did catch an 18 and 16 inch red. Caught larger gags. We missed so many it was like 1-8 bites vs caught. It was tricky getting them hooked. We would have liked to catch bigger fish but over all it was a great day. Captain Steve spent extra time with us on the water and we saw some dolphins on the way back and we hung out with them for a little while. Captain Steve filleted our fish and recommended a local restaurant “OMaddy’s” that would cook our fish for us. Captain Steve had a lot of information and stories that added color to the experience. We highly recommend My Girls Charters.

Took my family of five out for the 6 hr charter, it was the perfect amount of time for the younger ones. Captain Stephen was extremely knowledgeable and tailored the trip to meet our wishes. We caught a variety of different spices throughout the day and had dinner to take home. Captain Stephen’s calm, friendly and patient demeanor made for an enjoyable day for all! Will definitely fish with My Girls again.

We had a great time on the water, Captain Stephen is a super nice guy, and worked hard to put us on the fish we were looking for. The boat is in excellent condition, and I was very impressed with the selection of live baits that he provided along with some nice tackle. After a little bit of a slow start, there was a period of about 2 hours where we couldn’t throw a bait in the water without landing a kingfish or cobia or snapper. Would definitely recommend him for experienced anglers or even families based on our experience!
