Captain Ken Penrod was brilliant! This trip was my first time back fishing the Potomac River after retiring to Florida 25 Years ago. It re-ignited lots of wonderful memories of fishing this national treasure. Ken is a terrific guide who helped me to rekindle my fishing skills and especially help my friend who is not an experienced fisherman. Really enjoyed an afternoon of bass fishing with Ken. I’m new to the Potomac and wanted to learn how to catch largemouth bass here. I learned a ton in a few hours with Ken and we caught six nice bass between us. The fish weren’t biting for the first few hours. I appreciated that Ken was willing to keep fishing until almost dark to make sure I caught some fish. The gear was all top notch. Ken was very knowledgeable and responsive. It was awesome!  I can not say enough about how much fun and learning I had.  Ken was great! He was friendly and knowledgeable.  I caught more large mouth bass,11 +, today, than I have my whole life.  It was a great experience.  I have never been on the Potomac River before today.  Ken was great at explaining and answering all my questions about the water, the fish, and everything else. I booked this trip for my husbands birthday, I’m not much of a fisher but we both had a fantastic time! Ken was great to talk to and was so passionate about fishing. I could’ve spent another 4 hours. We cough about 10 fish, myself catching my first 2 ever. I would highly HIGHLY recommend. We’ve already decided we’ll be back next time we’re in the area.
