Fishing on Mr Oscar’s 30’ boat was a pleasure. It was a comfortable ride offshore and there was plenty of room to lounge around and get out of the sun. The captain Jesus put us on the fish and the deckhand David was phenomenal. He worked extremely hard to make everything perfect. Our wives both had the pleasure of catching Sailfish and we all caught yellowfin Tuna. Thanks to everyone mentioned above for our 1st trip to Costa Rica.  We definitely will be back and definitely will fish with Mr Oscar and his crew again.

I have fished offshore for over 30 years.. both US Coasts , Mexico, Guatemala and Costa Rica. Experienced the good the bad and the ugly when it comes to selecting the right crew for charter.  If your fishing out of Puerto Jimenez you don’t have to worry when you book Captain Oscar as you will get years of hands on experience , skilled mates and a well run boat stocked with the top of the line equipment. Most importantly you will get a Captain and Crew with a passion for fishing and desire to satisfy the client in the quest for whatever species he/she may seek.  He puts in the time and effort and goes the distance in making each day the best he can for his clients when it comes to catching. While everyday is a great day for fishing, experienced anglers know some days are better than others for catching ...but rest assured Captain Oscar will do everything within his control to make each and every day you fish with him a memorable experience.  Believe me I don’t give this type of review as a matter of routine. Best to all in you next fishing adventure .

Excellent experience, Captain Oscar and crew did a great job! We hooked 2 Marlin and caught a Mahi, the Marlin got the best of me and I lost them. That being said, listen to your Captain, because I would have caught 2 Marlin instead of losing them. Highly recommend using these guys, probably the closest you’ll come to guaranteed fish in the boat, that’s saying a lot since you have zero guarantees in fishing.

Great day on the water, caught a great mahi mahi and 5 yellowfin tuna. Boat was awesome and the crew was even better. Spoke very good English and was very knowledgeable about the techniques being used. The captain was determined to catch fish with whatever means necessary. He is very passionate about fishing and wants the best for his customers. 10 out 10, would highly recommend to anyone.
