Shine Eye Girl OBX Charters
Visit Wanchese, North Carolina and join us aboard the Shine Eye Girl for a fishing experience of a lifetime! The “Shine Eye Girl” is a staple of outer banks charter fishing history. Built by Warren O’Neal in 1960, she was a revolutionary vessel of her time and she paved the way for modern-day sportfishing. She’s since been restored (2015) and recently repowered (2021) to provide a modernized yet classic fishing experience. The boat’s fully equipped with up-to-date technology and top-of-the-line gear to make sure you maximize your chances of finding and catching fish.
Captain Josh Brindley was born and raised right here on the outer banks and has numerous years of fishing experience. He and the crew will provide you with a safe and enjoyable day on the water and give the extra effort to make sure you go home with fish for dinner!
Your trip starts on a 40’ Warren O’Neal flybridge that can sit up to 6 guests. The boat runs on a 450 HP Cummins 8.3 engine and uses comprehensive navigation technology. It’s fishing gear includes a fighting chair, outriggers, downriggers, and a livewell, as well as a large fish box for your catch.
Fish cleaning seevoces are offered at the marina for a fee
Some of the many species you can chase are Mahi Mahi, Black Seabass, White Marlin, Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, Redfish, and Cobia. Using light and heavy tackle, you can bottom and deep sea fish, troll, spin, jig, pop, and even kite fish. You decide if you’ll keep the fish you catch and you’re welcome to bring kids aboard.
Captain Josh will cover you for all the tackle, lures, and fishing licenses, so just bring some food and drinks before you leave.
