Regis & Bento are true professionals when it comes to fishing… they work hard to get you on and into the fish you want…I added another fishing friend to come with me who was the one who ended up getting a nice 40lb Yellow tail …I initially work a pole with a tuna for about 20-30 seconds but the Tuna managed to find his way off the hook.  We should have caught more Tuna as they were there but nothing was working ..we tried various lured etc but no more hook ups pretty frustrating so I’ll have to wait for another trip or time to get my larger Tuna which is what I’m really looking for. George my fishing buddy got his fish which I am really happy for him.  I think Regis was not completely happy with the day thinking we should have had more success.  Once more boats started showing up we were 2nd in the area which is when we caught the Yellow and lost one…the fish seem skittish knowing boats were there the bite went off… on our trip back in we caught and released two big Jacks …we did catch a different smaller dark tuna… can’t remember the name which we left we the boat.  Regis did much better the day before catching 3-5 nice Tuna’s but in much rougher water… anyways they are the folks that can on most days get you into fish they know where…how and when !

Highly recommend spending the day with Captain Regis…. He definitely knows the local waters and where to find the fish!  Also he was very open to questions from my teenage son… After a slow start to the morning, he changed techniques/baits and locations and put us on multiple dorado.  Becho, his assistant, was awesome and made fresh ceviche with a skip jack we caught - nothing better with a cold Corona! Once back to land,  Becho filleted a dorado(mahi) which we took back to the casa and enjoyed for dinner…Overall an excellent experience for a dad and his 14 year old son.  Gracias Regis and Becho!

Capt. Regis and Tio were professional, well prepared, knowledgeable, and timely.  Regis was in communication with me from the time I booked the trip right up to the night before.  He was able to answer my questions and explained what to expect.  When casting a fly to feeding Mahi Mahi proved a little beyond what my sea legs could handle, Regis was ready with more conventional tactics which landed several nice fish to the boat.  Moving inshore was fun but less productive with only one skipjack to the boat, but the coastline was beautiful.  A really great trip that I would highly recommend!

We started out with a super high swell and I wasn’t sure we (or any other boats) were going to get out but Regis said we were going for it.  We made it past the high surf while the other boats watched.  Apparently we were on of only a few that braved the surf.  Then the fishing was a little tough but we landed a beautiful dorado and a bunch of skip jack.  Pedro made us some delicious ceviche with the skip jack and we will be eating dorado for a few days on our vacation!  I’d definitely book again with Regis.  We had a fun day!
