Jay and Jamo were amazing!  You want a crew that can put you on fish and know the area. They can and do.

We spent the morning with them and the bite was slow, the winds were calm, and it was hot.  They went above and beyond to ensure we caught our red snapper limit - even to the point of extending our trip a little longer.  It did not go unnoticed and was appreciated.

Each one of our party of six caught a fish.  The youngest, a 9 year old, said it was one of best experiences of his life.  That’s high praise.  Jamo cleaned our catch expertly.  We enjoyed a wonderful dinner that night thanks to these folks.

Would we recommend doing it again?  Absolutely.  Would we change anything? I think we may consider a longer trip to ensure fishing in deeper waters farther out.  That’s where the bigger ones are caught.

We had a great time with Ricochet charter and would HIGHLY recommend them. We had 2 adults and 2 kids ages 12 and 13 on board and they had a blast. Prior to the trip the captain had excellent communication and response to all questions. The captain and crew were prepared, professional, fun and played great tunes throughout the whole trip. Every spot we had hits right away and if it slowed down we moved quickly to where the bites were hot. Lots of action and excitement the whole time. Also for any females or those with kids, it was a huge bonus that there was an actual potty on the boat. Would definitely go back to them again-they work very hard to make sure their clients are happy and having fun!

As a group of six on our first-ever ocean fishing trip, we couldn’t have asked for a more fantastic experience than the one we had with Ricochet Charters and Captain Jay in Gulf Shores, Alabama. From the moment we stepped on board to the very last minute of our trip, the boat, crew, and overall adventure were nothing short of awesome.

The boat itself was well-maintained, clean, and equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable day at sea. Safety was clearly a top priority, and we felt reassured by the crew’s adherence to safety protocols.

Capt Jay and his crew made this fishing trip one for the memories.  We’ve been a number of fishing charters and this by far exceeded all expectations; we caught the biggest red snapper than we ever have before.  Every spot Capt Jay put us on was a winner, we continued to put big fish in the boat.  But it was more than just catching big fish, Capt Jay and his crew really took care of us and treated us more as welcomed friends, we didn’t wait or want for anything.  They were there for us and brought along humor and laughter to the trip.  We will definitely book again with Capt Jay and the Ricochet!
