As with any day on the water, it’s ultimately up to the fish whether they are or aren’t on the bite. As for our trip, the fish just weren’t willing to cooperate. In total, we all landed a fish or two and that’s better than any day at the office. As for anyone whom reads this post, I ask them to remember that it’s never the number of fish caught that truly matter but the adventures that are spent with our friends and family.

As for Captain Wes… He is the epitome of a true fishing guide and gentleman. At no point did he “throw in the towel” and call it a day. Until the last minutes of our pursuit, he diligently searched for the that elusive catch of the day and not a second passed where a hook wasn’t baited.

In a split second, our group would book another charter with Captain Wes.

Captain Wes was awesome. He took my son, my nephew (8 and 5) and I out and was great working with them even though they aren’t the most patient anglers and think they know everything already.

At the end of the day, all of these charters are going to have the equipment and are going to know where to take you to catch fish. The real question is what person do you want to spend 3+ hours on the water fishing with. My boys and I would fish with Captain Wes all day and be ready to go out again the next day.

Great trip from the beginning. Wes was easy to be around and extremely professional. Put us on speckled trout fairly quickly. Kept 1 less than our limit but had other short fish and a second one over the 21” limit that we released. Redfish were not as cooperative as we caught only fish outside of the slot including a really nice 29” fish. Throughout it all Wes took great care of us provided the experience we were looking for. Highly recommend him and will use him again ourselves.

My son and daughter-in-law and I had the pleasure of taking a four hour fishing trip with captain Wes and his son. We went to several locations and caught at lease one fish in everyone. They were spot on with keeping the hook baited. Took the fish off the hook and we’re very friendly. They are highly recommended from my family.

What a fun experience for our family of 5!! Captain Wes made sure we had lots of fun and worked his tail off to make sure we always had a line in the water.  We caught a full assortment of fish and made lots of memories!! I highly recommend the 6 hour morning trip!
