2nd time I’ve fished on the el budster. Highly recommend this boat. Captain and crew will get you on a fish of a lifetime.
We booked the all inclusive trip for 4, they had plenty of beer, water and sodas. The lunch they provided was one of the best I’ve had on a boat. Two small burritos, sandwich & chips for each of us.
We each caught some bonito off the start then trolled for tuna. No luck for tuna so we went to marlin and dorado area.
Hooked two striped marlin at once about 3 hours into the charter. Lost one, but landed the other.
We then hooked another about 40 minutes after landing the previous marlin. Got it all the way to the boat but was going crazy jumping and head shaking and the hook popped out at leader length. Great release tho.
Trolled the last hours with a few more marlin strikes but no luck for the rest of the trip. Caught a 15lb dorado on the way to another zone but that was the last fish of the day.
Great boat to fish on and highly recommend, they have a office in the marina next to senior frogs. Really easy to find if your new to Cabo.

I would have no hesitation in recommending El Budster to fellow fishermen. It’s comfortable and well equipped with two fighting chairs and plenty of shade and seating areas. Capt Francisco and mate Omar both worked very hard to put us on fish, with the result that we had a beautiful striped Marlin of 150-170lbs. This was despite us seeing many other boats around us flying the marlin flag when we returned to harbour. This made 4 fish for them in three consecutive days’ fishing.

Note that although it isn’t compulsory locally for some reason we practiced catch and release, which I would encourage for anyone who cares about the state of our seas. After all, my marlin released today could be the one you catch on your next trip.

Salvador and his first mate Hector took great care of us and their boat was large and in great shape.  They took us out to the spots where the fish were (so many local anglers won’t take you far out to save on fuel costs—not these guys!) and we caught so much Dorado and Yellowfin Tuna the we ended up choosing to turn back early, although Salvador and Hector were happy to stay out later.  This was on an afternoon trip too, leaving at noon!  I cannot recommend El Budster highly enough.  They were both consummate professionals and accommodating of everyone in our group, some of whom were fishing for the first time.

Highly recommend El Budster! The entire experience was top notch. Good communication. Several days before the trip they asked if we needed license, box lunch, and beers for our trip and I thought the additional costs were very reasonable. We already had our license and decided just to have them get beers for our group. Upon arrival the office is in front of Dock 3 and El Budster boat was the 2nd boat on the dock. We met the Captain and first mate Omar who both spoke decent English. They we prepared and ready to go so as soon as we boarded they didn’t waste any time and we left. On our way out of the marina we stopped to get bait ($30 cash) from a small ponga just outside the marina, which gets you 10 large bait, and then we were off. We started fishing within 5 min of leaving the marina and Omar and the Captain never stopped working to get us on fish the rest of the day. Fishing equipment was top notch Shimano fishing reels in good condition. Within 15 min we had a fish on (small skipjack) which was fun for my 7 yr son to reel in. Then a few larger skipjack, then we got into the dorado!  We ended up getting our Limit of Dorado for 4 of us! We have been on other trips where the captain/crew just troll around never change up tactics, but that was not the case with this group, they worked the entire time to get us fish and their efforts paid off. This was one of the best fishing trip we have ever had and we will be back to fish with El Budster again!

Yesterday morning **hidden content**) had the most pleasant and relaxing fishing trip ever experienced. Within the initial hour after departure the first Dorado was caught. The captain (Salvador) and the deck mate (Omar) ensured fish were going to be caught and constantly monitored the activity with other boats and knew the appropriate areas. Was totally pleased in regard to the boat accommodations, personnel, pricing, ease of the fishing licenses and directing us where the fish would be processed. Encourage everyone to consider El Budster first, they provided integrity, safety, and professionalism of which I greatly appreciated - we will be back!
