Capt.  Carlos was awesome! He was in contact with us from the moment we booked the trip.  He c wanted to know what type of fish we wanted to catch. We let him know we were just interested indirt fishing,  catch and release.  He took us to the perfect spot.  You could tell that fishing was his life and he was extremely knowledgeable. He made it fun
He was just as excited as we were with every fish we landed.  We caught two large Tarpins, two jack fish,  and we even caught a hammerhead shark.  This was,  by far, one of the best things we did on b the island and will definately fish with him again.

It was a beautiful day on the water, caught 3 fish had a big one go into the rocks.  Carlos is a commercial fisherman and has been doing it all his life.  He knows the area and where the fish are, but if they are going to bite is another thing.  The rains changed the fishing some but that’s why it’s called fishing.  His knowledge and attitude was great, and to see Old San Juan from the water was awesome.  The boat was clean and well kept, and the gear was in Great condition.  He explained everything about fishing in Puerto Rico, and really cares about showing his clients a good time.  He called the night before to let us know it wouldn’t be calm, but we have fished 20 miles off the coast of New Hampshire many times and knew we would be fine and it was for us. Carlos really did everything within his power to make sure we knew what to expect and left satisfied.

Carlos is a legend in the making. I’ve been on countless amount of fishing charters all over the place. Carlos is top notch. You won’t find a better captain then him no matter your experience level. He talks to you like you’ve been friends since you were a kid, he teaches you everything you need to know, and above all he is just the friendliest dude you’ll meet. If you’re looking to catch fish while in Puerto Rico I halighly suggest him even if you have to drive across the island for him. He’s well worth it. Thanks again for an awesome trip and putting us on fish Carlos. He also put me onto a 100+ lb tarpon that was an absolutely insane time. Book Carlos immediately because I’m sure he will book up and you’ll miss out on the best trip of your life.

Immediately Captain Carlos was in contact with me about the trip I had booked. Upon arrival captain Carlos was very welcoming to our group and explained in detail about the trip. During the trip captain Carlos continued to explain different techniques and ways to locate fish, he was very knowledgeable and friendly. Captain Carlos got us on two beautiful mahi-mahi and worked with our group to successfully land both. After we returned he provided us knowledge on how to properly filet the mahi-mahi and did an excellent job cleaning the fish for us. I would recommend this trip to anyone looking for a day out fishing the ocean with a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. When we return to Puerto Rico again we will definitely book another outing with the captain!

I have done 2 trips with The Drop Fishing Charters. Carlos knows when and where to fish! We were searching for a bigger boat to go out on the offshore trip & he has the perfect 24 foot craft. He is bi-lingual and very knowledgeable and willing to explain why it is were fishing a certain location with specific bait. We have caught Snook, Mahi Mahi, & Barracuda. While we were waiting he was showing us previously caught fish in the same spots. We got to see many iguanas & local birds. We were on a mission to catch a Tarpon today & he went out of his way to make sure we hooked one…well two at one time! We were able to land one!!!
