Go Fish Costa Rica 30’ Panga
Go Fish Costa Rica 30’ Panga
, PU, Costa Rica
Go Fish Costa Rica 30‘ Panga runs fishing trips off the coast of Costa Rica. You can be completely new to fishing, or have a lot of experience, either way, you’ll get to see what Costa Rica waters have to offer.
You will be fishing from a 30’ Mako boat made for saltwater fishing. She was originally built in 2012, and then restored in 2016. She is rigged with navigational equipment and outriggers, and can take up to four anglers. The boat also has a toilet, and an ice box where you can store your catch.
Go Fish Costa Rica has a number of boats that take anglers out on the water. If you have trouble finding a spot, just scroll down, click on the charter operator’s name, and see what else is available.
The captain and his first mate will provide you with rods, reels and tackle, and if you like fly fishing, you can get the gear. Live bait, lures and the fishing licence are included in the trip rates, and the crew will clean and fillet your catch which you can then have prepared in some of the nearby restaurants. Gratuities for the first mate are customary.
You can try light or heavy tackle, go for some trolling or bottom fishing, depending on what’s biting at the time of your trip. You can target Roosterfish, Mahi Mahi, Tuna, Grouper, Snapper, or some of the Billfish family.
You will have snacks and drinks served onboard, and enjoy it as you wait for the fish to start coming closer. Costa Rica fishing offer stays solid throughout the year, but fish can be elusive, and some days are just better than others. One thing is sure, fishing these waters is fun that you should experience for yourself.

Well you booked the boat with out ever talking to anyone to make sure it was the correct boat for your group. Then any day you catch a Black Marlin is a great day. So in a fishermen’s eye’s it was a great day. You also had a Mahi Mahi for dinner so hey what do you want.Albert Puebla empfehlt nicht Go Fish Costa Rica 30’ Panga

We booked a trip at least a month ahead of time. We had confirmation emails for the charter. We arrived a day before our scheduled trip and called “Capt. Dan”, he had no idea of the following days trip despite the confirming emails. Capt. Dan said he would rearrange things to get us out on the boat. He would only take cash or PayPal. He picked us up at our hotel(the only thing he did for us) took us to the beach and we were shuttled to a boat. Not his boat. The crew greated us by telling us we were not his charter but he would rather take us 2 than the 3 he had scheduled. We paid Capt. Dan 950$ cash for trip. After looking at charter boats afterwards ,the boat he put us on was 200$ Less. We spent over 8 hrs fishing catching 1 sailfish in the first hr and nothing the rest of the day until the crew wanted to catch dinner for themselves on the way in. We deep dropped and caught 10-12” groupers, bout a dozen until I had to ask them several times to bring us in. We called Dan, he has’nt responded. We thought he should at least reimburse the 200$ for putting us on a less expensive smaller boat.

2 experienced Anglers, 2 Novice. Full moon, slow bite. Captain & Mate (Tony) worked very hard and were very knowledgable. No action on top. Ended the day on a deep drop.
Fresh Grouper for dinner!
We had a great time and will be repeat customers! Gracias!
