Gulfcoast Fishing Charters offers amazing fishing adventures year-round! Captains Bobby is a sixth-generation Floridian and fishing has been a huge part of his life since childhood.

This is a family-friendly charter and Gulfcoast Fishing Charters always gives its best to tailor its trips around the interests, special needs, and age of its guests. Since taking kids fishing is one of their favorite things to do, there is no minimum age policy for them – everybody’s welcome. Gulfcoast Fishing Charters supplies safety equipment, but please bring a life jacket for your kid if they’re under 2 years old.

Head out on the captain’s 25’ Sea Hunt, newly built in 2022. This fishing machine is powered by a 300 HP Yamaha engine that can reach a maximum speed of 40 knots, taking you swiftly to the best fishing spots. The vessel is perfect for this area, as it’s equally efficient in one-foot shallow flats and in deep offshore waters. It’s comfortable and reliable and has all the latest electronics. The boat accommodates up to 6 guests and everybody can fish at the same time.

Your captain will take you fishing in the inshore and nearshore waters around St. Pete’s Beach. You can go after acrobatic Tarpon, search for the big schools of Redfish, fight Speckled Trout, or reel in voracious Snook. You can also fish for Cobia, Sheepshead, Snapper, Giant Sharks, or Black Drum – you just never know what’s going to bite your bait! This is not a “Deep Sea” fishing charter. My trips are casual, calm water, fun sport fishing. If you are looking to go way out and fill a cooler; search for a specically “offshore” trip as that is not what I provide.

Gulfcoast Fishing Charters will prepare your fishing equipment and live bait, while you should bring your drinks and snacks. The captain will also clean and fillet your catch after the trip.

Shorter trips are great if you're bringing your kids along. Capt. Bobby will tailor the trips around their age and their corresponding attention spans. Whether you're an experienced angler or never held a rod before, you will surely have a great time. You are most likely to target Snook, Redfish, Tarpon, Sheepshead, Shark, or Snapper. The captain will provide your fishing equipment, but you need to bring your drinks and snacks.

Fishing opportunities in this area are endless, so it's best to take as much time on the water as you can. Your main targets will be Tarpon, Snook, Redfish, Cobia, Shark, Grouper, Snapper, and the list goes on. The meetup location is the Public Boat Ramp at Egan Park. There’s restroom facilities there and ample parking space.

I'm Capt. Bobby Burnett. I am a sixth generation Floridian. Commercial and charter fishing has been a huge part of my life since I was born. After years of taking family and friends fishing for fun I decided to make it a career. I bought a boat, got a License and haven't looked back since. I love taking people out to see what the area has to offer. Each day is a new experience for me and my customers. I generally fish live bait on light spinning gear. Techniques vary based on time of year and target species. I try my best to match a customer's ability level with the type of fishing we'll do. I'm comfortable taking advanced anglers as well as people that have never held a rod before. I also enjoy fishing with kids and teaching them everything they need to know.

We had a fantastic time out on the water! We saw a huge sea turtle, large school of sting rays and even stopped off at Shell Key! What made the experience amazing was the laid back and accommodating nature of our Captain Bobby! He took the time to teach my novice kiddos about fishing, casting and baiting the hook! He immediately texted us when the fishing wasn’t great due to the weather to give us a chance to cancel and get a refund on the whole trip… we thought that was super honorable. We decided to go anyways and he absolutely knew where the fish were. We would definitely return (in weather weather lol) and refer anyone to him. Super personalable and funny. Captain Bobby was great, can’t recommend him highly enough. He contacted us in the morning and offered to reschedule due to cold weather but we opted to go ahead anyway. He brought us to lots of spots and we caught several fish. The kids had a ball and he was very patient with them and answered all their questions. If we returned to the area we would definitely go again. Great adventure and will be remembered forever. Thank you.
