Capt. Patrick guided a nice trip 16mi into the gulf on our 5hr voyage. It took roughly an hour to get to our destination and we fished about 5 spots in all catching roughly 50 fish between two of us. His first mate, Brad, was super helpful in managing bait and lines. We were never out of the water for more than 12 seconds! Any rough bait was immediately replaced, and advice was tailored to the species we were catching at the time. They were easy to get along with and we enjoyed the entire trip thoroughly and brought our cleaned and bagged fish on ice to The Reef for immediate preparation. It was $10 w/ two sides and great eating. Plenty more to come! Would recommend to anyone.

My original date we had to postpone due to wind, which worked out perfect since we rescheduled for opening morning of Amberjack season. Caught some lane snapper while we waited for a dive boat to get off the wreck. As soon as they were done, we had lines, and a fish on in a few minutes. Ended up getting two more after that. I’ve caught a lot of fish, but that experience was unmatched. I lost the mahi of a lifetime (nobodies fault), which was a bummer, but still an awesome story to tell. Was cool seeing how exctied the guys were when we had it on. I got a nice grouper, which was one of my goals for the trip. Overall, was an awesome day. They are both super knowledgable about fishing and the area in general. I was by myself so I only did a 3/4 day, but I really wish I would have done the full day. They fileted my fish out for me, even recommended a place to get it all vacuum sealed to take it home. Highly recommend LaCosta charters.

Let’s start with the fact that Captain Patrick was really responsive to the app and all the questions you could throw at him. Secondly, his first mate/deckhand could not be a better duo, they had the best personalities and treated my family of all ages the way you wish anyone would with respect. That being said we got the best fishing experience you could get, from catching kingfish, Spanish mackerel to even latching into a shark we could not even get to the boat! Fought it for at least 45 min, never in my life would I think I would fight a shark. The deckhand even passed the rod around for everyone to have a try at the shark! Unbelievable! Anyways Captain Patrick and Brad are definitely someone to charter your experience. No doubt spread the word for these great guys. We will be back guaranteed! Thanks guys..

Brought my family, including my 8 year old twins to fish with CPT Patrick and Brad. I was hot as all get out with no breeze, but they had us on fish the whole time. The boat is wildly comfortable for fishing and the hard top is money when the sun is blazing. Brad was Johnny on the spot the entire time and couldn’t have asked for a better mate with kids out there. CPT Patrick is very friendly and accommodating with the youngsters. Would highly recommend them to anyone with kids. By the way, enjoy the bean bag chairs on the ride to and from the fishing spots!

We had a wonderful time in early November as the weather was just perfect. They were extremely helpful in teaching us how to fish from the bottom of the gulf. We ended up catching over 40 fish & came home with at least two meals for the four of us. I highly recommend Patrick & Brad if your thing of heading out to have an experience that makes great memories. Thanks for a great day guys.
