Captain John and Chastity took us out three days for inshore fishing around rigs and structures off the Gulf Coast. Over three days of fishing, we hooked white trout, red snapper, sheepshead, Spanish mackerel, catfish, and a spinner shark. Chastity was always vigilant when it came to baiting hooks and all aspects of preparing the tackle. Captain John did his best to put us right in the fish’s homes. He can seem severe at times, but he simply wants to impart the proper techniques to his passengers, which requires a steadfast focus on the bobber above all else. After the final day of fishing, John and Chastity invited us to their home where they offered to cook some of the catch. Unfortunately, we had to prepare to leave very soon afterwards, but we would highly recommend their expertise and will potentially see them next year.

Did a repeat trip with captain Jerry and once again wasn’t disappointed. The fish were biting good and brought back plenty to eat. Caught many different species of fish along with a half dozen craps that liked are bait as well. Kids had a great time and caught lots of fish. Captain Jerry was great once again with the kids. Would highly recommend them and look forward to are next outing with captain Jerry and freebird charters.

We went on a 3 hour excursion in Bon Secour Bay with Capt Jerry and Capt John along for the ride. We had a great time. First hole was a dud, but the second spot we really hit ‘em hard. We had more than 20 keepers, sail cats white trout and whiting. We caught two stingrays, and a crab all while hearing good stories and having fun as a family! Free bird charters was a good option for us and one of the least expensive to boot.

The boat was clean and in good shape, a little old and just a tiny bit cramped to walk around the console with 3 bigger guys onboard but otherwise really good.

Jerry knew the water and the fishing holes really well, he gave us plenty of space to make our own decisions about how long to stay and if we should try other spots or not.

We went home with more than 10ths of fish, filleted and ready to cook. I would recommend and go again!

Recently moved to area and was able to take a few clients for a 3 hr trip inshore and back bay.  This was my 4th time going out with Freebird Charters and first time with Captain Jerry.  We loved it as we have each time and so did my clients and co-workers!  Highly recommend to team at Freebird!

Best fishing trip of any charter we have taken in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. Captain Gerry was fantastic.  We caught so many fish, we left a few for the next group!  We are not experienced fishermen, but even with two kids in our group, we all caught plenty! Captain was very patient and incredibly knowledgeable about the best locations to land us some great catches.  Incredible memories, wonderful pictures of the kids with their fish, and amazing way to end our vacation! We will definitely be fishing with Free Bird Charters again when we return next year, and will specifically request Captain Gerry!
