My fishing aficionados and I embarked on a 2 day trip to get a sailfish in Stuart FL. What we encountered were rough seas . In day 1 we caught some barracuda and bonito, in day 2 we switched to fishing the bay and caught a variety of fish . The one constant was Captain Trent, he was relentless in the pursuit of getting us fish to catch . His attitude was excellent at all times to go along with his effort. He was exactly what I would want in anyone providing a service , so we were very fortunate to have selected him to help us in our quest. Fishing changes for so many factors that are out of our control so at least where you do have control pick the right vehicle to get you there with “Catch of the Day” and Captain Trent, even if the weather is less than great Captain Trent will be better than most.

We had a great experience aboard Catch of the Day. Trent and Josh are very professional and knowledgeable when doing their job,  and you can tell they love what they do.
Captain quoted during the trip ” my main objective is that the customer has a good time and is satisfied “.
On this charter the crew will of course fish for what you prefer and the method you want, but after trolling was slow that day, we let them suggest what was the best way to catch the most fish on that day, and they didn’t let us down. They both worked hard the whole full day charter and it paid off. Even a very nice grouper.
This was my first charter with Catch of the Day, one of many boats I’ve been on, and I will DEFINITELY be coming back.

Took our family on a half day trip with Captain Trent and had a blast. We caught dozens of fish of many different species. Trent was able to educate us on each one we brought up. Highly recommend Catch of the Day! We’ll be back for more on our next trip to the area.

Early December 2 days for sailfish. Saw 2 but got none on (only a handful caught by the entire fleet during this time. During a sailfish tournament, too). Not for lack of trying though. Multiple spots and techniques. Kept interesting by landing a trophy bull Mahi, 2 huge Blackfin, big Skipjack, and multiple Barracuda. Crew was professional, friendly and good fellowship. Will try it again with Catch of the Day next season.

Nice day on the ocean, maybe too nice so a little slow on the troll. We did manage a nice Mahi as well a good size Wahoo! We also all took home our limit of Vermillion Snapper filets. Overall a fabulous day!
