Saltwater Safari Company maintains its reputation as the leading Alaska charter fishing service and pioneers of the Seward, Alaska long-range fishing grounds. Owner’s, Capt. Bob Candopoulos and Captain Bobby Savino have a combined 55 seasons of experience fishing these waters. With their two, incredible 53’ Delta charter boats Legend and Legacy and the 43’ Renegade, they strategically mapped the ocean floor day after day, season after season and pioneered the most incredible, long-range fishing grounds that Alaska has ever seen!

Long considered one of the world’s leading destinations for sport anglers, Seward, Alaska offers a wide variety of fishing opportunities to suit your specific needs. Located just 2 hours from Anchorage, Seward offers some of the best light tackle fishing for Silver and King Salmon to deep-sea battles with the Giant Pacific Halibut. Anglers from across the globe converge on the small coastal community of Seward, Alaska to test their skills and try their luck fishing in one of the most picturesque settings imaginable!

The prime fishing grounds out of Seward are located in the Gulf of Alaska.
The Gulf is rich in everything needed to sustain this incredible fishery. Offshore reefs and deep structure hold a tremendous variety of bottom-fish species. It’s not at all uncommon for a lucky angler to be fighting a giant Pacific Halibut while others are landing monster lingcod or huge yellow-eye and black rockfish. When deep-sea fishing out of Seward, Alaska, you never know from one moment to the next what you might hook into.

Bag limits are as followed:
Halibut: 2 per person (one must be under 28")
Rockfish: 3 per person
Salmon: up to 6 per person
Lingcod: 1 per person
Pacific Cod: no limit

Our crew will clean your catch and bag it for you, and there is vacuum sealing/shipping options are available for you if desire.

Spend 10 hours fishing these productive waters for these incredible monsters, as you try to fulfill your limit of 2 Halibuts to take home – one can be any size, while the other must be 28 inches or smaller. You'll also have the chance to catch some other exciting and delicious fish, such as Rockfish and Pacific Cod. Just make sure you have a printed copy of an Alaskan sport fishing license and you're good to go.

    The best of both worlds! This trip is a combination of a sightseeing tour as well as some light tackle fishing. It takes you on a tour of Resurrection Bay and Kenai Fjords National Park in search of wildlife such as whales, sea lions, porpoises, seals, sea otters, bald eagles, and puffins! Also in the sights, we will take you into the National Park where we take you right up to glaciers which are breathtaking! We will also spend 1.5 - 2 hours of the trip light tackle fishing for Salmon and/or Rockfish.

    September is one of my favorite months to Halibut fish! This incredible fish doesn't only make for good table fare, but it will also be incredibly fun to try to get on the boat. Tough-fighting and strong as can be, it will give any angler a run for their money, so you'll utilize your full 10 hours on board as you bottom fish offshore to try to entice the bite. The main target species of this trip is Halibut, although there are possibilities of seeing Rockfish, Salmon, and Lingcod on it as well!

Growing up, I always had a passion for fishing. Being born and raised in Central Florida, I was always surrounded by some of the best fresh and saltwater fishing that the world had to offer. In 2008 I started working for an elite Alaskan charter outfit, Saltwater Safari Company. Starting as a deckhand on their vessels, I spent 4 seasons on deck followed by 5 seasons operating there vessels, the Legend & Legacy. In 2012 at the age of 22, I optioned my Merchant Mariners credentials as Master of Vessels up to 100 gross tons. When the summer season in Alaska comes to an end, I spend my winters back down in Florida where I guide tours in the Everglades. Also apart of our team is Captain Noah Wamsteker! Captain Noah hails from Mobile Alabama and has been apart of the our company since 2017. Working under Captain Bob predominantly, he had one of the best teachers in the game and learned so much about the fishery and the local knowledge of fishing out of Seward. Captain Noah received his United States Coastguard License as Master of Vessels up to 100 gross tons in 2021 and has been running our boats collectively since then. He's the young gun in our fleet and has quickly earned the nickname "The Alabama Slamma" by being a top producer for our company the past several seasons. His passion for fishing is unmatched and you'll be sure to have a great time fishing with him! Fishing is our passion and we would love to take you into our world and show you the beauty of Resurrection Bay and the Gulf of Alaska! FISH ON!
