We dropped into Venice to hit a quick day trip and Capt Jay got us onto some big Reds and kept us on fish all day. The conditions were not ideal but that didn’t stop Capt Jay from finding our limit of Redfish and we landed 8 species of fish.
We take 3-4 guided trips a year and this one was our best day in at least 5 years.

15 BULL REDS!!! That’s what Captain Jay helped my husband and I reel in on our first fishing trip down to Venice. This was hands down one of our most fun days of fishing we have ever experienced! Captain Jay will make you feel so welcome from the start; he makes you feel like you’re out just fishing with a good buddy. Leading up to the trip, he was very quick to respond to any questions we had. He’s super knowledgable about the area and knows how to keep you busy reeling in fish all day long. As soon as we got back to the dock, my husband and I were already talking about when we could make a trip back down to Venice to fish with Captain Jay again. Just an absolutely incredible time!

Had a great day fishing w Jay. Although the conditions were tough we were able to land plenty of Red Fish, catfish and a flounder.

We had an absolute blast with Captain Jay. He is a very tentative captain and juggled our continuous catches of fish gracefully and with just as much excitement as we had. He was able to put us onto all the best fishing spots and we will definitely be back!

We where not sure we could do 6 hours and Jay let us gauge that.  I was ok paying full day price just not staying there if we ran out of energy .  He was understanding and did a great job of dressing the fish out.  We are over 60 and have taken lots of fishing trips, however we both agreed this was one of the best.  Thank you Jay for an outstanding day!
