I had an amazing morning trip with Captain Dave! Wall-to-wall Walleye in June on L. Erie out of Lorain, Ohio! I was originally scheduled to go out with Captain Andrew, but he had a motor problem the day before so he called me to let me know he set me up with Capt. Dave and gave me his contact info. Capt. Dave has a very nice brand new fiberglass boat (I think 23 ft.) and very high quality fishing rods, reels, and tackle. We met and left out of Lorain at 6:00 AM. We tried fishing near shore for about 20 minutes, and although sonar seemed to indicate lots of fish they weren’t biting, so we headed a few miles out to “the dump.” Out there it was wall-to-wall walleye and with only four lines fishing - two with dipsy-divers and two with plainer boards - we were catching fish non-stop! We probably caught ~ 40 walleye in about 3.5 hours. Sizes were generally 16” to 20” but a few bigger, including a 27.5 in. - my personal best (so far)! By about 10:00 AM I’d caught enough fish, and since I was driving back to eastern PA that day, I decided to call it quits and head back in.
After taking-out Capt. Dave led me to Erie Outfitters to get my fish filleted for 3$ each (including the walleye cheeks too). It’s a very nice tackle shop. I bought one of the “Amish Double-sided Crankbait Boxes” that Capt. Dave was using. After I got home I realized how great these crankbait boxes are so I ordered several more from Erie Outfitters! I would highly recommend walleye fishing with Capt. Andrew or Capt. Dave (especially in June)! They were both very helpful and accommodating. Thanks for a fun and very memorable fishing trip!

Do yourself a favor and book this man! He is awesome! I had an absolute blast! It was my first time Walleye fishing and I must say, I can’t wait to do it again! It was a great day out on the water. Captain Andrew was excellent and helped me to feel at ease with the whole experience. He went above and beyond, making sure that the time out on the water was stellar. We caught our limit with 2.5 hours!! He let us keep all the fish that were caught! He even went the extra mile and gave advice on where to eat lunch, which was another win!!!!! A++ I definitely recommend him and will certainly be using his services again! Couldn’t ask for a better day out on Lake Erie!  Thank you Captain Andrew!

The day started around 7:30 and we made a run about 4-5 miles and started fishing. We had 10 in the boat by 10:30. Captain got a call that fishing was hot at another location so we pulled up gear and went back closer to shore. We were fishing again by 11:30 and put 14 more in the boat in an hour. It was a great experience with a very knowledgeable and personable Captain Andrew. He worked hard for us to make sure we caught our limit. I would highly recommend him to anyone interested in walleye fishing lake Erie.  Boat and gear was a +, his personality was a +,  and lake knowledge was a big +.

Three of us spent two days fishing with captain Andrew and our experience was exceptional. Not because we caught limits of fish, we did, but because of the way we were allowed and encouraged to participate in the process. I have fished all over the world and few captains are as interested in providing a total experience as captain Andrew. He knows his Lake Erie fishery and shared his knowledge willingly.

Wow!!!! is all I can say👍We had an awesome time and day fishing with Captain Andrew. Like all the other reviews if your looking for a charter look no more. He’s the one you want. He was very knowledgeable of the area and the fish. I’ve never walleye fished and he made us feel so comfortable and was so kind and patient. He is the reel deal hehe👍👍we caught our limit and our planning a great dinner as we review this. Will definitely be booking with him again. May become a new yearly Fathers Day gift.
